So, what’s in a name…sun-dried? When we say sun-dried, we mean sun-dried. Not all products labeled sun-dried are processed in the same manner. Some commercially available dehydrated products are actually tunnel-dried in a process where temperatures reach upwards of 200°F. Martin Farms truly dries their products naturally under the California sun.

Flavor
Protects fruit against burning, scorching and excessive shrinkage resulting in a more concentrated flavor, when compared to its tunnel-dried counterpart

Texture
Softer more pliable fruit. When dried slowly by the sun, fruit naturally shrinks less and is not as tough as those dehydrated in high temperatures.

Longevity
With proper refrigeration and storage the fruit will retain its flavor and color for up to six months and indefinitely when frozen.

Color
Sun-drying assures what rich color nature has given to the fruit remains beautiful and appetizing.
